You can't do that! Yes, you can. The Norwegian singer Rebekka Bakken proved it in 2013 in an impressive way with this unique project with the Frankfurt Radio Big Band. The arrangements by conductor Jörg Achim Keller do not try to copy Tom Waits. They have their own touch and yet he knows exactly where this music belongs and how it should sound when played by a big band. Americana was a very successful project by Rebekka Bakken with the Frankfurt Radio Big Band, which the singer subsequently released as an album.
