Backpacking to Baron Lakes in Idahos Sawtooth Wilderness The Sawtooth Wilderness in Idaho

This was a solo backpacking trip in mid August 2022, it was roughly 20 miles out-and-back and a fairly challenging hike with an elevation gain of 3000'. The journey began with a shuttle boat across Redfish Lake, from there, it was roughly 10 miles to Baron Lakes. The lakes have an amazing fluorescent neon turquoise blue color and there are incredible views of the jagged Sawtooth Mountains along the hike. There are plenty of water sources and plenty of shade along the way. • We are Beata and Clint.
