For 25 years, Skanderbeg kept Albania unconquered by the Ottoman Empire army that attacked it dozens of times, becoming the defender not only of his land but also of Christianity in Europe. He is considered by historians to be one of the four most skilled generals and strategists in world history after Alexander the Great, Julius Caesar, and Napoleon Bonaparte.
