The MicroPack is an extremely small-format Horizontal Form, Fill, and Seal advanced packaging machine. With the ability to seal similar and dissimilar webs, it uses a servo actuated draw bar feeding system that works in concert with a registration sensor to ensure an accurate index on every cycle. Additionally, testing can be performed in line while a PLC is tracking the state of each index. The vision system shown here passes information to a FANUC 4-Axis SCARA, which, in turn, robotically loads the products. Manual loading is an option the customer can choose depending on their requirements.
