Manual Engine Start. • welcome back everybody, thank you for all being here and here’s a quick little informational piece on why we do a manual engine start. One thing I forgot to mention in the video is that the 3/8 Drive extension when inserted has to be turned in order to manually open the starter valve. The other thing I failed to mention is that, even though the component is on MEL, it will be scheduled to be changed in the coming days. This is due to time on the ground as well as parts allocation, but I tell you wholeheartedly This is not a safety a flight issue. it’s just something maintenance has to do to get the engine running. much like utilizing a ground air cart to start the engine when the APU is inoperative. • And yes that’s totally the HOW ITS MADE soundtrack 😂 all credits to them on the music behind this.
