Cobbler

Five years ago today, the world lost one of the greatest animators of all time - Richard Williams. Best known for directing the animation on Who Framed Roger Rabbit , a little known venture of his is a little animated film that could (and did, in my opinion!) called The Thief and the Cobbler , which took an astonishing 30 years to make - primarily because Richard was doing most of the animation himself! • In honour of his passing, I have decided to have a crack at extending the film - this was accomplished by finding footage from workprints uploaded on YouTube, and combining that with the remastered version uploaded by Josh366lol2 - his channel can be found here: • / @josh366lol2 • I am aware Richard was not impressed with how the film came out - but at least it's not the version distributed by Miramax (which, so I'm told, is quite awful!). • I have also added some Warner Bros. Family Entertainment and Allied Filmmakers logos to the beginning and end. Richard had signed a deal with Warner Bros. to make the film, which all went to pot before the film's release - but that's another story. • This was originally intended to be uploaded last year to commemorate its 30th anniversary, but I never got round to it - sorry!
