After 4 months, 46,210 attempts, a jump from Blade of Justice, it's over. I decided to go for this level all the way back on June 8th, when I received a random motivation boost while I was away working at a camp. On June 13th I officially did my first practice run, taking 1.2k attempts to do so. It was a random period in my career when I felt like I wanted to push myself to know damn well that I can beat anything I want. And hell, I actually did it. • My full description will be below my stats, as it is SUPER long lmaooo (I just have a lot to say) • Thumbnail by Spoonmen: / @spoonmen7650 • Worst Deaths: • Jonathan's Part: x50 • Ilrell's Part: x15 • 73% x4 • 74% x3 • 77% x1 • 78% x1 • Attempts: 46,210 • My Difficulty Rank: ~40-50 (according to Ozzy and Minishoey) • Enjoyment: 100/100 • Unedited Video: • • Ocular Miracle 100% Unedited. Learning this level was an experience I had never gone through before, taking about 2 months to do. I wasn't spending all of my time with it during those two months, so it took a lot longer than it should've. A lot of this level's difficulty comes from the learning. It takes a lot, as least for me, to push myself to learn a level as long and learny as this one. But after finally finishing the learning process, it was very rewarding. • Starting off the level from 0 was incredibly hard to do. The Reverie portion of the level infuriated me like nothing had before. I could never make progress. That was until I got 29%, then progress started flowing very steadily. I managed to get 37% and then 47% all in one day right after I got 29%. Then, I straight up fluked from 47% to 73%. This was came out of absolutely nowhere, and it shocked me more than anything, but it motivated me, and pretty much confirmed that I could beat it. • That was when things started to get tough. I began dying countless times to Jonathan's part. If I counted correctly, over 50 times. This was made worse by the fact that at 65%, there was a bug in one of the slopes that I died to 12 times before Gaiden allowed me to fix it (thank you so much lol). After about a month of going through the same deaths over and over at Jonathan, I felt like the level was starting to get to me. I slowly started to lose motivation, as the level felt impossible. • That was up until two days ago, when I realized that I would be free all this weekend, and promised to dedicate all of my time to Ocular Miracle. Yesterday I did a stream where I got 73% in about 30 minutes after coming back to it, which motivated me to keep playing. I woke up this morning, not expecting it to be any different than any other day, and then boom. I beat it. It was out of nowhere, a fluke from 78% as well, which is the second best fluke on the level! • Now onto the gameplay. It's SUPER fun. This level has the best gameplay of any demon I have ever beaten (minus 2 parts, Deso and Jonathan). It's super fun and satisfying, and surprisingly never got boring for being a 5 minute level. I think that the gameplay was done incredibly well, which is really nice since the level is so long. The only complaints I would have would be in the learning process, but even then it got better after a while. • Now I have some dedications to mention, and there are quite a few lol • Luke and Spoon: Both of you have been with me from the very beginning, all the way back in December of 2019. The first people who I actually became friends with over the internet. You both motivated me to beat this, even in my times of struggle and anger. Thank you both so much, not only for what you did during OM, but for everything :) • Th13teen, Zen, Cage, Minecraft, Enderlink, MiniShoey, Nom, Blader, Michael, Boston, Rat Smacker: The people who watched and witnessed it all. You all contributed to my success by keeping my head high and constantly cheering me on, whether it be in new progress, or even if I died to Jonathan again. Thank y'all :) • Gaiden: I never expected for you to turn up that one random stream, much less stick around. You were incredibly fun to talk to in my streams, and were incredibly motivational towards me, especially when I was incredibly angry when I died far. You constantly supported me to the very end, and I am incredibly thankful for that. And yes, I'll beat Akiba now ;) • To all of my viewers: You are the reason I play GD with such a passion. You watch my streams for hours upon hours of the day, just to see a 17 year old play a cube game. I love streaming, I love you all, and I am incredibly thankful for the opportunity that you have given me • And yeah, I think that's it! This was quite the journey, and it isn't stopping here. Let's see where the future takes us • Thank you all :) • #geometrydash #extremedemon #ocularmiracle
