How to Download Embroidery Designs Transfer from Computer to Embroidery Machine

FAQ: How do you download embroidery design files, then transfer them from a computer to the embroidery machine? This is a basic beginner demonstration for Windows-based PCs (sorry Mac users!) and the Brother PE800 embroidery machine. I purchase a lot of embroidery designs from Etsy and various websites. Typically the download files are zipped (compressed) and need to be unzipped (extracted) before they are ready for use. Each brand of embroidery machine uses their own compatible file type. For example: Brother uses .pes files. While you can transfer embroidery files as-is to the embroidery machine, embroidery software allows you to combine or alter designs fonts.
