If all goes according to plan, 100 Barbadians could soon benefit from employment opportunities provided by Ghanaian company Zeepay. • During a press conference held at Bagnall’s Point Gallery, Pelican Village, Bridgetown recently, founder and chief executive officer of Global Integrated Fintech Solutions (GIFTS) Dave Sahadath (centre in thumbnail), said his company was partnering with Zeepay to establish Barbados as the Caribbean headquarters for the latter’s business. • Zeepay focuses on digital rails to connect digital assets such as mobile money wallets, cards, ATMs and global tokens to international money transfer operators. • Co-founder and chief executive of Zeepay, Andrew Takyi-Appiah, said Barbados was selected to be the headquarters of the region for a number of reasons, including political stability and a vibrant economy.
