Bikepacking Florence amp Yachats Oregon Coast

My buddy, Michael Roderick, and I wanted to make the most of the 2022 Swift Industries Campout. After looking over various bikepacking routes I'd been scouting in the Greater Eugene Area, we decided to go out to the Oregon Coast to (hopefully) escape the imminent heat wave. Our newfound bike buddy, Gary Raayor, also joined us on our grand mountain-bike camping adventure. • Things still got a bit toasty in the Yachats area, where the Siuslaw National Forest meets the coast. We enjoyed riding and camping next to numerous wilderness areas and the Yachats River was a great refuge for the night. • The ride we did is simplified version of my Yachats Mountain Coast bikepacking route that involves more gravel climbs if done as the extended version.
