Lamb Curry Pakistani Style | Easy and Simple Recipe | British Pak Family • How To Make Lamb Karahi • Lamb karahi, or karahi gosht is a famous Pakistani curry. Lamb karahi often made with lamb or mutton is very popular in Indian restaurants all over the world! If you craving for Indian food, just ditch the delivery and make this delicious and authentic, restaurant-style curry at home. • This lamb karahi recipe involves slow cooking lamb in a karahi or wok. The lamb is cooked along with onions, tomatoes, ginger-garlic any spices. • Ingredients: • 500g Lamb • 2 Onions • 3 Tomatoes • 100g Yoghurt • 1 tsp Chilli Powder • 2 tsp Turmeric Powder (Haldi) • 1 tsp Ginger Paste • 1 tsp Garlic Paste • 1 tsp Salt • 100ml Olive Oil • 1 tsp Black Pepper • 1 tsp Garam Masala • 1 tsp Dried Cumin • 1 tsp Dried Fenugreek Leaves (Methi) • 200ml Water • Method: • 1. Heat oil in a wok or karahi pot before adding sliced onions • 2. Allow onions to soften and become golden brown • 3. Add lamb and allow to cook for 5-10 minutes before adding salt • 4. Chop tomatoes before adding into pan and allow to soften • 5. Add chilli powder, turmeric powder, ginger paste, garlic paste, black pepper and garam masala • 6. Stir and allow all spices to be evenly distributed through the lamb before cooking for at least 5 minutes • 7. Add water and lower the heat • 8. Cook for 30-45 minutes until water dries up and lamb is soft - if lamb is still tough and not cooked, add more water • 9. Add yoghurt and cook for 10-15 minutes - try to stir as much as possible to prevent the yoghurt from solidifying, if it does, add water and stir continuously 10. Add the cumin seeds, fenugreek leaves, bullet chillies and ginger and leave to cook for a few more minutes • 11. Finally, garnish with coriander • 12.
