I’ve been doing myofunctional therapy every day for roughly the last 13 months and it’s helped my tongue posture, strength, and function, however I feel like this tool adds a whole nother element. I literally think this device would be amazing for any human looking to breathe better for reals. Having lived with low tongue my whole life and being a mouth breather as well I had no idea how much my tongue could help me breathe with ease. I literally popped this thing this morning at 5:30 on my way to work and you can even pause it for a sip of coffee haha. For anyone looking to step up their breathing or sleep this device def gets my stamp of approval. Wish it wasn’t a medical device, because I don’t know a single person that wouldn’t benefit from its use. • I preface the word TOOL. It is just one more way to help you strengthen your oral posture and help one to breathe better due to having a better seal by building low level endurance of the tongue which helps contribute to better posture and less compensation throughout your entire day including during sleep. • I love our world and how everything is marketed. We can’t get someone to spend $900 to breathe better but to sleep better. Why not? In a world where people would rather look good on the outside when things are falling apart on the inside, this is just one more device to help your body not work so hard and being healthy!!! • A few things about this device that I didn't love is that in the first 3 months it stopped working multiple times and they had to send me a new one which makes me question how long these things last. The second biggie is that at some point you can't get any stronger and you just kind of get stuck in this place of using it but you don't feel much, but you know it's good for you. I'm type A so I use it every day, but I could see many people who would just stop using it and then revert right back to where they started maybe a year later. Just my two cents. • PRESCRIPTION: For anyone living in the US, you do need a prescription if ordered here. I have seen some retailers out of this country selling the product without the need for a prescription. • COST: It is retailed for $1600, but I believe practitioners and doctors can sell it for less. They just can't advertise it for less than $1,600. I have seen it go for anywhere from $850 and up. • MOUTHPIECES: Each mouthpiece gets registered with the device the first time you use it, and is only good for 90 days. After that you need to replace the mouthpiece. They range in cost from $75-150.
