The Windbreakers formed at the tail end of 1979 in Jackson, MS. Tim Lee and Bobby Sutliff were the backbone of the band. They self released the Meet The Windbreakers EP before hooking up with Mitch Easter of Let's Active, who would go on to produce their following records and even sit in on drums. The band stayed active for about a decade with numerous line-up changes, though Tim and Bobby more or less remained the constants.
