Falls Lake Crappie Fishing

Minutes from the Raleigh-Durham area Falls Lake is an easy to get to reservoir that's stuffed with crappie. While anglers shouldn't expect trophy size crappie it's a great place to take kids to catch numbers. We convinced Wes Jordan of Redbeard Cats Guide Service to take us on a quick fishing trip here for two short hours before he had to go to work. Armed with live Chartreuse Fire Dye minnows caught dozens of crappie while filming this episode of Pautzke Outdoors. • *Editor's Note: This wasn't a planned destination for Pautzke Outdoors. Meanwhile, our trip to the Outer Banks was cancelled due to Hurricane Maria brushing the coast.
