We are also using a cheaper composite that does not have as much strength. • Hang each 2x8 hanger on your ledger. Place in your joists. Line them up with the same spacing on your beam as the spacing at the ledger. Add your strong ties on the beam. Screw everything in and BAM you are done. For now. • The plate attached to the edge of the joists can simply be screwed in. It does not require hangers because the joists themselves are not hanging from it, it is hanging onto the joists.
