2023 Mitsubishi Delica D5 Ralliart MPV Rally Support Vehical

the next-gen Mitsubishi Triton pickup truck will be racing at the grueling 2023 Asia Cross Country Rally this August. But besides the new truck, Mitsubishi is also fielding a heavily modified Delica D:5 van as a support vehicle to keep up in the same multi-day, long-distance rally race. • Team Mitsubishi RALLIART will be participating in AXCR 2023 with three skilled drivers: Chayapon Yotha (Thailand), last year's AXCR champion; Rifat Sungkar (Indonesia), who secured the 5th position overall last year; and Katsuhiko Taguchi (Japan), the winner of the Asia-Pacific Rally Championship in 1999 and 2010. Throughout the rally, the team will be supported by the Delica D:5, a versatile minivan with SUV-like road handling and MPV-level comfort. • The upcoming AXCR is also a perfect opportunity for Mitsubishi to celebrate the 55th anniversary of the Delica. A total of four Delica D:5 support vehicles will join Team Mitsubishi Ralliart and all have the features offered by the regular model. These include the strong body with its rib bone frame and the electronically controlled 4WD system, which provides optimal maneuverability and road handling in any weather or under tough road conditions. • Mitsubishi did equip additional equipment to the Delica D:5 minivans that will be pitted at the 2023 AXCR. The car brand shared that it has been customized to be able to drive through the entire rally, from flat dirt to mud. • it has been upgraded with all-terrain Yokohama Rubber tires and WORK aluminum wheels painted black. It also gets auxiliary lights and a roof rack to carry additional equipment during the rally race. The chassis was also given attention as both the front and rear suspension have been tuned by JAOS to handle the rough terrain. • the Delica D:5 support vehicles will also bear the red and black motifs as the rally-ready pickup truck. Combined with the MPV's daring looks and go-anywhere capability, the Delica D:5 support vehicles are ready for the road less traveled. • Mitsubishi did not reveal whether the minivan’s engine has been tuned to deliver more power. As standard, the Delica D:5 is powered by a 2.2-liter turbodiesel engine that puts out 143 horsepower and 380 Nm of torque.
