If you've looked into these machines you should know all the flaws. The biggest is the heat issue. In this video I'll add the following to my knew unit: • 1) hydraulic oil cooler • 2) hydraulic filter • 3) hydraulic oil temp guage • 4) negative bus bar • 5) positive bus bar • 6) switches for fans • 7) 12 fan • 8) new zerks • 9) battery charger leads • Check out The Garage Connection. Lots of helpful info on these cheap excavators. It would have been hard to get this done without his help. This video is about the L18 M27 fitting you won't find but need to work with: • • Chinese Mini Excavator Hydraulic DIN ... • Hydraulic hose and fitting notes: • The H15 has M27x1.5 L18 male fittings. Extremely hard to find female matches. I took the tank to pump hose to hydraulic shop and the cut the crimps off and re-used the female ends on a new hose with new crimps. • The RC connections on the oil cooler are compatible with JIC fittings. My hoses ended up as such: • Hydraulic tank is original male L18 M27. Hose has original female L18 fitting with new crimp to 3/4 JIC female. Male 3/4 JIC to female 3/4 NPT adapter that goes into oil filter inlet. Oil outlet male NPT 3/4 to JIC 3/4 male adapter to 3/4 RC oil cooler inlet female. Oil cooler female 3/4 RC to 3/4 JIC male to 3/4 NPT adapter. Female 3/4 NPT hose to female original L18 DIN. This connects to pump. • The new hose from the tank to the oil filter is 2' longer than the original. Never measured original, just asked for 2' longer. It could be a few inches shorter (like 4 ). The hose from the oil cooler to the pump is 2' and seems just right to me. • Hopefully this helps you get everything connected up. • No affiliate links, but here's what I bought: • Bulkhead fitting • https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0CXHP4J4J? • 8mm zerks • https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07HP2V4BW • Negative bus bar • https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0B17X95J2 • Oil filter assembly: • https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07CHL41C5 • Oil temp gauge • https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0BWRPBGB8 • Positive bus bar/fuse block • https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0B1V92QBR • Glowshift gauge holder • https://www.amazon.com/dp/B000UO96ZQ • 10 fan • https://www.amazon.com/dp/B014KK7OCW • Oil cooler • https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0D2DBBSN8 • Switches • https://www.amazon.com/dp/B08KT8M11F • • Update 2024.11.12: • Hour meter stopped working. Picked up this hour meter and just taped up the old one: • https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B07... • The muffler broke off where it screws on and caused it to get hot (temp gauge let me know - good thing I had it on). Normally runs about 150F with all the fans on, outside temp 60F. When the muffler extension fell off, exhaust gases were in the engine bay and temp got up to 180F and because the hydraulic oil was full, caused it to expand and start leaking out the top. The hole size is 1.3 and I couldnt find any good pipe/conduit at local hardware (and I didnt want to weld anything in place) so I just bought a galvanized two gang electrical box cover with a 3 hole that screws into muffler protection plate and a galvanized 2 gang cover plate. Drilled 1 1/2 hole with step drill in plate, welded the muffler back together, screw to plate and screwed plate to the one on the muffler protection piece. Pretty much two cover plates back to back, one with the 3 hole and another with 1 1/2 I drilled and then the muffler on it. • She's strong for the size. Loves to rock back and forth. I don't use more than ~1/2-2/3 throttle while digging. Its getting through 2 roots with some work. I picked up (guessing) a 1,000lb 7' log with ease a full extension. • The thumb is good and not at the same time. I've already bent one tooth a little. It doesn't go all the way up against the boom, only maybe 1/2 way so when I'm digging, depending on the angle, it sticks into the dirt before the bucket. So its good for picking stuff up, but not for digging. I probably need to swap out with some quick connects so I can take it off when I'm digging. • Let me know if you have any other questions.
