In this video, we will rank and explore Jean-Claude Van Damme's 10 greatest movies. Considered by many to be one of the definitive action heroes of his generation, Jean-Claude Van Damme has been credited with bringing a whole new flavour to the genre with his kickboxing antics. And that’s exactly why he’s been able to stand out ahead of so many others like him, in the process becoming a true star of the screen. But you don’t need us to tell you that. You just have to look at his work in films like Bloodsport, Double Impact, and Street Fighter if you need any evidence of his ass kicking credentials. • Of course, that’s only skimming the surface of Jean-Claude Van Damme’s filmography though as over the years he’s also given us such cult classics as Timecop, Universal Soldier, and Hard Target. And in recent years he’s even had something of a critical revival, something which can be seen in the acclaim he got for his role in the art house fare that was JCVD. • That said, Jean-Claude Van Damme’s real bread and butter will always be his work as star of action flicks.
