This Audient ASP800 review is going to save you tons of time and research. Where you spend your music technology dollars is important, our Audient review of the ASP800 will help you to discover the information you need to make sure you are making the best investment. • If you’re interested in purchasing Audient ASP800, you can do so here with a great price: https://imp.i114863.net/PxVWe • First the Audient ASP800 price is affordable for most which makes it a very attractive offer. On average it is about 20% less expensive than the competitors which is always a welcome break. • Of course, then the question must be asked, “Can it perform?”. • This Audient ASP800 review will give you the answers that you need to make an informed decision. We take you through the paces and deliver the information that you need. • The Audient ASP800 Channel Console. • This is a 1U rack mounting chassis. The chassis weighs about 4.5 KG. The load is lighter on the ASP800 than its sister unit which comes in at about .5 kg heavier. The difference is in the power cord supply. • The ASP800 does not have the high-end fancy power cord which makes it a bit lighter and does not affect the performance as far as we could tell. • There are some other differences as well when you compare the ASP800 to the ASP880. Most noticeably is the rear panel. The rear panel on the 800 has less facilities than the 880. There is no line-level insert points and external processing features that the 880 has to offer but that did not really affect our review. • What we did find were dual ADAT ports. A great level of range for sensitivity, and a switch that gives you the option of expanding for use with any equipment that is equipped with ADAT. In other words, the Audient ASP 800 may not look like much from the outside. • The Performance. • Of course, all the talk about what things look like is not really what you are here for. Let’s talk about preamp performance and how it is achieved. There is a combiXLR input that caters to mics or line signals. • They are padded by 10b balancing and routed right to the mic preamps. • The front panel also allows retro channel input with route right through a high-impedance JFET buffer. • There are 6 basic preamp channels (3-8) that are illuminated plus a rotary gain and a 15db pad. The high-pass filter is fully adjustable. To keep costs down there have been some functions that have been left off the panel including, a high-pass filter, impedance and polarity invert switch. • With some features being left off Audient has been able to add 10db of gain with the 800. Another strong point is that the gain control has become more balanced and easier to get exactly what you want out of it. • You will not notice that annoying distortion that you can sometimes experience at the loud end with the 800 and it responds a lot better with stereo matching than its sister unit does. • Overall. • • The price point is perfect, and we did not feel like we were sacrificing function. Yes, you will give up some functions with the savings but ultimately, the 800 compensates in other ways. It is not an 880, but it is a great piece of equipment. • We think you will be pleased with it, especially once you get passed the idea that some functions have been left out. • If you held it up to similar models at this price point from competitors, there is no doubt that it would blow the competition out of the water but if you are comparing it to the 880 that rings up at least 20% higher in costs than of course you are going to be a little disappointed. • At the end of the day our review found that the 800 delivers as promised and came across as a great value. Check out the review and decide for yourself if there is room on the rack for the • ASP800, we think you will find some room for it. • Watch the video and leave your comments in the section below.
