Plug in the external hard drive into the system and open Windows Explorer by clicking on the computer section in the side bar, you will see your external hard drive get attached to your system. • 2. Right click on the hard drive icon, and choose Format option. • 3. Opt any file system that you want to use for the operating systems. And give your drive a name under Volume label, and make sure the Quick Format box is checked. • 4. Click on the start button to initiate the formatting process. After a while, the formatting process will be completed. • How to format an external hard drive on Mac? • 1. Plug in the external hard drive into Mac and open the “Finder” • 2. go to “Applications/Utilities” and double-click on “Disk Utility” • 3.
