19881998 Chevy OBS Project Truck LS Swap AC Fan Relay Install

When swapping an LS engine into a 1988-1998 Chevy Truck, the donor vehicle wiring harness must be modified to work with the swapped vehicle or a new harness must be made. The older OBS truck did not have electric fans, it had an engine driven clutch fan. So, with the LS swap and using electric fans, one fan needs to come on when the air conditioning (a/c) is turned on to keep air flow coming across the condenser. Otherwise, the a/c system pressure will rise due to heat and can cause system problems. If you have not modified your harness yet, consider this feature before you start. If you are having someone else do your harness, be sure and tell them you want this feature.
