HVAC Furnace Short Cycling How High Limit Switch Works

HVAC furnace short cycling and not staying on long enough.. There are a couple reasons why a gas or electric furnace can be short cycling. One of the most common reasons is that the high limit switch is tripping and that is what is causing the furnace to short cycle and struggle to get to the temperature set on the thermostat. In this video I explain what the high limit switch is, how it works, then I test it and do some experiements with a few switches, and lastly take them apart and see what is inside.
