GR11 Hiking Trail Spanish Pyrenees

This video clip was my second hiking trip on the GR11. The first time back in 2000 I hiked from Ordessa Canyon to Benasque. On this trip I continued from where I left off and hiked a further 10 days along the mountain range. So far I have walked approximately 20 days out of the full 46 day trip. The first time I navigated with an array of Spanish Military and Civilian Maps - not accurate. 95% of the trail is well marked but it can be challenging finding that 5%. This 2005 trip I used Paul Lucia's Guide printed by Cicerone Press - a highly recommended and excellent little guide and is all I used. Some of the days I altered and wild camped instead - plenty of opportunities along the entire route. • I truly love this region best hiking in Western Europe, far better than the touristy French or Swiss Alps. I would also recommend looking at the Picos de Europa if you enjoy wild limestone mountain landscapes. If I recall the western Massif of the Picos de Europa was the best but the path can be vague and navigation is much harder than the GR11. The other factor is cloud sweeps in off the Bay of Biscay usually in the afternoon whereas the weather in the Pyrenees is steady. • https://www.youtube.com/edit?o=U vide...
