Låtefoss is a 165 meter high waterfall in Ullensvang municipality in Vestland . It is the most famous of the waterfalls in Oddadalen , which has several waterfalls on a stretch of 10 km. The vertical drop is 51 meters and it drops 165 meters over a stretch of 400 meters. • The waterfall is one of Norway's most visited nature-based tourist attractions. In 1995, it was estimated that 650,000 stopped to view the falls. Trollstigen and Vøringsfossen were estimated to have about the same number of visitors. It is special in that it has two overflows from Lotevatnet which flow together in the middle of the waterfall. Låtefossen is actually two waterfalls, Skarsfossen in the south and Låtefossen in the north. Both come from Lotevatnet. It is located in the river Austdølo , a tributary of the protected Opo watercourse. The waterfall has steady water flow all year round. • #4k
