The best way not to have to do that is keep everything in the boat ready to go. For this to happen you need a nice place inside to keep you boat or if you are like me a boat cover. Most boat covers will get leaves and water on top of the cover. I came up with these Jon Boat Cover Supports to keep all the water and leaves out of the boat and slide right off the cover. This way when I want to go fishing I take off the cover and hook the boat to the truck and off I go.
