Unboxing the printer • first remove the protective tape from inside and outside of the printer and film covering the scanner glass. • Then remove the foam bag containing the HP Smart Tank ink cartridges from on top of • the paper tray. • 2. Wi-Fi Setup • Connect the HP Smart Tank Printer power cord to the wall socket. Do not connect the USB cable. Connect to USB cable after the HP Smart Tank Driver installation. • 3. Install the ink cartridges • Turn off your HP Smart Tank Printer. Remove the old ink cartridges from your HP Smart Tank • Printer. Place the new cartridges over the two plastic tabs used to secure the chip onto the cartridges. Gently press down until the chip properly.
