I know most people don't bother to read the description but for those that do. . . this is for you. • Each box takes hours to complete. Trust me there is nowhere near the profit you imagine there is. There are competitors making boxes that aren't as nice for more money. There's a reason for that. I'm not an idiot. I know anyone with some determination and some tools is only a couple days worth of research and work away from figuring these out and selling them to too. I sell these as cheaply as possible and I should be charging more. • Remember, the pricing on these includes my cost to offer free shipping. Shipping an 11 or 12 pound box is NOT cheap. If I ship across the country $20 to $40 shipping fees are normal. That doesn't include the cost of the packaging and the cost to make the box itself. • I realize MOST commenters mentioning price are 10 year old children or adults with similar intellect. ;) They're easy to spot. These individuals typically insist they can make a life size version with 4 times the features and twice the quality in half the time for a third of the price. It always makes me giggle. • • I've been making Mystery Box replicas and more since 2011. I know exactly how much time and expense is involved. I know just how expensive the materials are. These boxes cost me quite a bit to make and I have business licenses that allow me to do things like buy tax exempt and buy in bulk to get things cheaper. They're STILL expensive to make. The components and hardware are more costly than you think. • If you have the tools, knowledge and time can you make a box cheaper for yourself ? Absolutely! However it's not going to be as big of a savings as you think. If you don't have the tools necessary or the knowledge required it's going to end up costing you much more time and money than you think. • These boxes aren't made for the people with woodworking tools, skills, the knowledge to wire up the sounds and the time to do so. They're made to be sold at a fair price to people who DON'T have any of those things. • HOW DO YOU MAKE THE SOUNDS? WILL YOU SELL THE SOUNDS ONLY? HOW DO YOU BUILD IT? • Unfortunately I don't tell others how to make these. The good news is I'm no genius and this isn't rocket science. Building a box is easy enough. With enough research and time you can figure out anything else you need to know. I had no clue how to make these when I started. Figuring out the sounds was a bit of a challenge but I spent hours on the internet figuring it out and you can too! Please don't expect me to walk you through a build. You'll learn so much more if you do the research and teach yourself anyway! • I don't currently sell the sound effects portion or any other components and I have no plans to do so at the present time. For those that don't want sounds or want to attempt sounds on their own I offer the silent version of the box. • I may do a tutorial video in the future.
