http://www.cincinnatichildrens.org • With the Cincinnati Reds Opening Day quickly approaching, Mr. Redlegs made a short stop at Cincinnati Children’s Hospital Medical Center to get ready for the season. His handlebar mustache was a big hit during his appointments as he walked the halls handing out wearable paper versions for folks to copy his signature look. • Mr. Redlegs got a chance to see what it’s like to be a patient in the Radiology Department but his oversized head presented a challenge with the CT scan. Radiologists also performed X-rays of Mr. Redlegs’ throwing arm and legs. • Before heading home to Great American Ball Park, the Reds’ mascot had one final appointment in the Sports Medicine clinic. Researchers let Mr. Redlegs test out the motion analysis system in the Human Performance Laboratory, and Withrow High School softball players led Mr. Redlegs in stretches to get him in shape for the 7th inning.
