Wednesday June 19 2024 at 10.44. The 10.10 Crewe to Newark Castle (12.33) train. Came here in 2013 and filmed this: • Blythe Bridge Level Crossing • Since then there are new lights and backboards, its lifting mechanisms have been replaced and, in the last few months, an extra cable has been fitted to the outside of each of them. Not seen that before. They look very easy to vandalise. The double white lines have correctly been replaced allowing people driving away from the crossing to overtake. The builders merchant was full of cars. Normally you'd see vans and trucks. Bricks don't go well in cars. The video stops just short of the main road to the station crossing. The railway calls this Stallington LC thus ensuring that most people have no idea where it is.
