Defenders should have been an absolute blast. It was...fine. The Defenders themselves worked pretty well together and there were some creative action sequences. But the series was weighed down by a predictable plot and a villain that made next to no sense. • But it was also missing something: a moment. Something to tie the Defenders further into the Marvel Netflix universe and raise the stales for the final fight.
