Disable Wireless feature Removed from Cox Cable ModemRouter Netgear Gateway CG3000D

I was just made aware that you cannot disable the wireless portion of this modem/router by the traditional admin page. Today I tried logging into my router/modem... a Netgear CG3000D by typing in the IP address of my router: 192.168.100.1 • Default username = admin • Default password = password • I realized that you can't disable the wireless access point feature. If you go into wireless settings, that feature is missing. It looks like if you own a Cox Cable version of this modem, they've removed this feature from the modem firmware completely. • Although, there is a difficult way of removing the wireless on this modem/router. • Update 7/14/2013: Here is a video i made on how to disable wireless. if you do this, and in the future you want wireless back..., then you'll have to factory reset your modem. • • How to Disable Wireless on your Cox G... • I created this video with the YouTube Video Editor ( / editor )
