This is a collection of camera trap footage taken in Hutan Tapanuli (Batang Toru), North Sumatra by staff of Yayasan Ekosistem Lestari (YEL) and the Sumatran Orangutan Conservation Program (SOCP). This island of primary forest and wildlife covers around 130,000 hectares and is beset by human encroachment, mining concessions and illegal hunting. Hutan Tapanuli is not widely known about on a global scale or even within Indonesia for that matter.
