Cooking my All-Time Favorite Filipino Dish, Bistek Tagalog. Here’s how I cook mine using simple ingredients and quality cookware resulting to super tender beef with tasty sauce. • Beef Marinade (I used Sirloin): Soy sauce, Calamansi Juice, sliced onions, crushed pepper, bit of salt. taste the marinade before soaking the beef, I like mine with strong calamansi taste. Marinate overnight inside fridge. • Cooking Instructions: • 1. Sear the beef quickly on a pan. Set aside. • 2. On a deep pan, saute sliced onions, set aside some for garnish. • 3. Add the seared beef, marinade liquid, some water and slurry (1 tbsp cornstarch dissolved in bit of water) • 4. Slow Simmer until tender. • 5. Serve with onion rings on top.
