Findley State Park Visiting the Shawshank Prison in Mansfield OH

When we saw our friends had recently visited the Ohio State Reformatory where The Shawshank Redemption was filmed, we added the stop to our USA road trip itinerary. We headed to Findley State Park, where we had full hookups and were only a 40 minute drive to Mansfield. • The Shawshank Redemption is Charlie's favorite movie, so he completely geeked out over seeing all of the filming locations and movie memorabilia. Turns out, the Mansfield prison is also known for its ghost activity and being one of the most haunted places in Ohio. Brittany was far more interested in this aspect of visiting the prison and hearing the stories of ghosts that have been seen and heard throughout the prison.
