Raja Ajab Singh Rajawat grand son of Raja Madho Singhji built Ajabgarh Fort between the year of 1589 to 1594 and it was named after him. The ancestors of the family migrated to Thikana of Samra during the period of Raja Deva Singhji in 1755.
