Together they explore our most intimate emotions. • Looking beyond the lamento form, the Aedes ensemble embodies the power and depth singing can express. Based around Xenakis’ Night and Monteverdi’s Lamento della Ninfa, the programme juxtaposes choral singing with flamenco, in order to illustrate the torments of the human soul, the cruelty of mourning, the passion of love and the consolation of prayer.
