From 1958 to 1961, Sea Hunt, starring Lloyd Bridges as underwater action hero Mike Nelson, was one of the most popular television programs in the world. It created a generation of diving enthusiasts. Today, the history of Sea Hunt and the vintage scuba gear of the era are celebrated at Sea Hunt Forever, a festival that takes place at Silver Springs State Park, Florida, the original site of much of the underwater filming for the TV program.
