1990s Coin Operated Carousel Kiddie Ride

Filmed at Las Vegas Amusements, Southend-on-Sea on September 17th 2016. • This beautiful 3-horse carousel, released in the early 1990s, was manufactured by Amutec. I believe the original version had cream coloured horses, but there is at least one variation with black horses. The mirrored carousel itself is gorgeous, with a striped canopy and silver poles at the front of each horse's saddle. The ride played traditional fairground music and included flashing lights to give any child the illusion of a full scale carousel. • I am currently working on a website about coin operated rides, particularly those made (or at least commonly distributed) in the UK during the 1950s-90s.
