Our DIY home security products can start working in under an hour so your home can be secure in no time. • To wake your Simon XT panel, connect the two red wires found on the bottom of the panel into one another. Next, plug the system transformer into the wall. • When you’re ready to install your wireless sensors, match the sensors to its assigned entry point. To change where your sensors are, simply note the sensor number and the entry point to change it during activation. When mounting the sensors, make sure the arrows on the sensor and the magnet are in alignment for complete protection. You can also use wireless sensors on your windows, just keep their arrows aligned. • If your home security system package includes motion detectors, you should mount them six and a half to seven feet off the ground. Let's get started. • This video is designed to give you a quick overview of the installation process. We have more videos that focus on the installation and use of each device we offer. If you'd like to watch those scroll down the page for a comprehensive list. • First things first, check to make sure you have all of your equipment. You should have a master control panel, your door and window sensors, a motion detector and any other devices you ordered with your system. • Now let's get your panel up and running. Your panel needs to be located near a non GFCI • power outlet. Connect the two red wires on the bottom of the panel to wake up the backup battery and plug the system transformer into the wall. • Now let's get your wireless sensors installed. Make sure to match the sensor to its assigned entry point. If you'd like to make a change, simply note the sensor number and • the entry point and we'll change it during activation. Notice the arrows on the side of the sensor and the magnet when mounting the device. Make sure these arrows are in alignment. These micro sensors are also designed to be mounted on windows. Just remember to keep the arrows aligned. • The motion detector should be mounted six and a half to seven feet off the ground and it needs to be in a high-traffic area.
