Traffic Steering xApp with Machine Learning in Open RAN xApp demonstrator

We have a new feature in our Open RAN xApp demonstrator , namely the Traffic Steering xApp is enhanced by the Machine Learning model, which selects optimal policy. • The #machinelearning model used for TS xApp is based on the KNN algorithm, and for a different number of Voice UEs, MBB UEs, and observed outage of both UE types, it predicts the policy with the lowest system outage. This model was trained offline using default values of the required rate for both UE types and CRE value of Small Cells and a whole range of remaining sliders (Voice UE count, MBB UEs count).
