Rainforest Sounds Different Animals and Birds

Listen to the crazy and terrifying sounds of Howler monkeys in the rainforest. • Howler monkeys are some of the loudest land mammals. They generally call at dawn and they can be heard for miles if the conditions are right. They make these sounds to advertise their territory and to avoid inter-group conflict. That's excellent use of sound if you ask me. Humans should do that instead of fighting maybe? • Camping in the rainforest and waking up to the sounds of howler monkeys close by sounds like fun, but not if you aren't prepared for it. Luckily I kept cool and went back to sleep after my first such encounter. • Recorded in Corcovado NP in Costa Rica with Sony PCM A10 and Clippy EM272 microphones.
