What we have here is a simple 11 to 1 musical interval - the fraction represents a frequency ratio, in other words the higher note is eleven times faster or higher than the lower note. After a bit of introductory business, we divide the frequencies arithmetically, which is incidentally the same thing as dividing the ratios, producing the following progression: • 1:11 • 1:6:11 • 3:13:23:33 • 2:7:12:17:22 • 1:3:5:7:9:11 • 3:8:13:18:23:28:33 • 7:17:27:37:47:57:67:77 • 4:9:14:19:24:29:34:39:44 • 9:19:29:39:49:59:69:79:89:99 • 1:2:3:4:5:6:7:8:9:10:11 • You math types might be able to notice a few patterns in those numbers!! • Named after the Omnibus Romantic Progression of romantic times. • • About the software: Dorico mostly with some image editing.
