In this video, I give tips and tricks that can possibly improve your individual team mode skill. With the nature of team games in any game, it is near impossible to win every single team mode game unless you are playing in a huge discord stack. However, you can still improve your own performance as a team player. • some more tips not mentioned in the video: • 1. Don't just play with a discord stack. Try playing some ladder games on your own. If the victory always comes so easily bc of a discord stack, you are probably not improving your own team skill. It isn't a bad idea to sometimes play with discord members to see their team mode strats but you should avoid stacking all of the time (unless the lock places you in a stack) and try doing some flips to test whether you have enough team experience to lead a weaker team to victory. • 2. Healing: I forgot to insert this here but healing lasers are generally not the greatest due to the recent nerf it received to its healing power. They are only useful in a t7 group fight where there are numerous t7 healers creating a healing chain. In more general situations, target the healer if they're making the ship impossible to kill. • 3. cross-teaming: STAY AWAY from this tactic as much as possible. While this tactic might gift you a win, you will not improve as a team player if you consistently rely on cross teaming to win the game. Sandwiching does happen sometimes and it isn't always intentional. Ultimately if you really want to get better at team mode, avoid using this frowned-upon tactic as it isn't too difficult to drive over to a huge group fight and gang up on one team. • 4. Secondaries: equipping only attack or defense pods isn't always the best use of your credits. Attack pods die really easily and only make a difference in a long term fight. Sometimes it is better to spend those credits on a pack of missiles or mines since these secondaries have a lot more instant explosive damage. You should refrain from only using attack/defense pods as it is sometimes a waste of credits and your fighting skill will not improve. Instead, assess the situation of the game and see what secondaries will be most helpful for that certain situation. Rockets are more effective in the t3/t4 stages of a game, missiles/mines/torps are better for t6/t7 fights, and mining pods can be useful for stockpiling credits extremely quickly.
