Honda to celebrate 50th anniversary of CB750; to unveil CB1000R Tribute • Source: Roma Motodays • The Honda CB1000R Tribute is based on the CB750’s modern equivalent, the four-cylinder CB1000R. The changes are mostly retro design cues, such as the iconic blue and gold paint job and old school “HONDA” serif font instead of the wing logo. There’s also a “1000” badge on the side plate designed in the vein of the old “750” emblem. Hardware-wise, the Tribute is mostly stock, but sports a Y-shaped exhaust pipe and thin-spoked wheels in deference to the original. • Honda Italy plans to show the CB1000R Tribute at the upcoming Roma Motordays motorcycle show, and says that one lucky contest winner will go home with the bike. • Honda is all set to unveil the CB1000R Tribute one-off motorcycle at the Roma Motodays show in Italy which will be held from 7 to 10 March. With this model, Honda will celebrate the 50th anniversary of the CB750 Four’s debut – its first four-cylinder motorcycle, which was introduced in 1969. • The Japanese bikemaker has built this model in association with Honda Italy. Only a single unit of the CB1000R Tribute has been built which will be given out to a lucky visitor at the Roma Motodays. Interested people need to buy a ticket to the show and register online on Roma Motodays’ official website to participate in the contest. • There are several aesthetic elements which pay tribute to the 1969 Honda CB750 Four. The headlamp nacelle and fuel tank get a blue paint job with a special logo that sits on the side plate. Moreover, it gets spoke wheels and V-shaped twin exhausts. All of these are the reminiscents of the original CB 750 Four. The leather seats of the standard bike make way for an Alcantara unit on the Tribute model. • Apart from the cosmetic tweaks, the motorcycle remains the same. The 2019 Honda CB1000R is powered by a 999cc, liquid-cooled, four-cylinder engine which belts out 141.4bhp and 104Nm. It is loaded with electronic aids such as full-colour TFT display, ride-by-wire, traction control and four riding modes. Suspension duties are handled by fully-adjustable inverted front forks and rear monoshock, sourced from Showa. For braking, it gets 310mm twin disc setup up front and 256mm disc at the rear. • In India, the Honda CB1000R+ is priced at Rs 14.90 lakhs (ex-showroom) and it goes up against the Kawasaki Z1000 and the BMW S 1000 R. • When it introduced the CB750 Four, Honda created what is widely recognized nowadays to be the first superbike. 2019 marks the model’s 50th anniversary • The model Honda chose for the 50th-anniversary tribute is its new CB1000R—its modern-day inline four with four-in-one exhaust system is the appropriate setting to properly celebrate Honda’s first four-cylinder mill. The manufacturer is expected to unveil the CB1000R Tribute at the Roma Motodays show taking place in Italy from March 7 to the 10. • The changes are mainly aesthetic—the CB1000R receives an era-appropriate blue-and-gold livery as well as a dual, y-shaped exhaust tip and a set of wire spoke wheels, all features reminiscent of the look of the original Four. The “Honda” badging takes the place of the usual winged-logo—the wings are illustrated instead in a matching yellow gold insignia located on the sideplates with “1000” rather than the original “750”—and the standard leatherette saddle has been replaced by an Alcantara leather piece. • There is no talk of an actual production model—according to the Roma Motodays’ Website description, this is a one-of, built in collaboration with Honda Italy. One lucky visitor of the show will receive the keys to the Tribute. All visitors have to do is buy a ticket to the show and register online for the contest. It’s not too late to get your plane ticket for Rome for a chance to bring home this unique anniversary piece. We fully expect Honda corporate to come up with its own celebration of the benchmark model. • #CB1000RTribute • #CB75050thAnniversary • #MOTOINTRODUCTION • =============== View More ============ • Upcoming Bikes in India 2017 and 2018: https://goo.gl/2FkYwi • All New Yamaha Motocycles: https://goo.gl/6G9ygd • All New Suzuki Motor : https://goo.gl/8NpHHs • Honda All New Model 2018: https://goo.gl/Lr1LKt • 2018 Kawasaki Model 2018: https://goo.gl/YuUZNv • Custom Triumph Motocycles: https://goo.gl/mEMvU6 • All New Motocycles in 2017 tokyo motor show: https://goo.gl/KziMNe • All New Honda Motocycles at the Tokyo Motor Show: https://goo.gl/v8dMJJ • Please subscribe to receive these channels newest video . • Follow MOTO INTRODUCTION on: • Facebook -https://goo.gl/uhvigf • Google Plus - https://goo.gl/k0jb7Q
