RPSI Halloween Specials to Dundalk Skerries amp Maynooth 26th amp 28th October 2019

On Saturday the 26th and Monday the 28th of October 2019 the Railway Preservation Society of Ireland ran their Halloween Specials but this time it was slightly different, instead of just going to one destination for one day it was split over two days with multiple runs to various locations. • 0:00 - 1:08, Friday the 25th October 2019, Here we 85 'Merlin' passing Clontarf Road light engine having come from the RPSI Whitehead base, it was sent down to work the two Halloween runs and possibly the Santa Specials. • 1:08 - 1:38, Saturday the 26th October 2019, the next day we see 85 'Merlin' flying past Howth Junction with the Connolly - Drogheda leg of the Halloween Special. • 1:38 - 2:47, Next we beat him to Railway Terrace just outside Drogheda station where we see 85 'Merlin' arriving having come from Connolly. • 2:47 - 3:32, Next we head to Newhouse in County Louth where we see 85 'Merlin' working hard as it passes with the Drogheda - Dundalk leg. • 3:32 - 4:18, Next we head to the Former Station of Dunleer in County Louth where we see 85 'Merlin passing with the Dundalk - Drogheda leg. • 4:18 - 7:52, Next we head to The Lady's Stairs in Ardgillan Co. Dublin where we see 85 'Merlin' passing with the Drogheda - Skerries leg. • 7:52 - 8:35, Next we head to Irishtown Bridge in County Meath where we see 85 'Merlin' passing with the Skerries - Drogheda leg. • 8:35 - 9:21, Next we head to Gormanston Station where we see 85 'Merlin' passing with the Drogheda - Dublin Connolly leg. • 9:21 - 10:10, And finally to finish the day off we Head to Grange Road / Humpback Bridge in Baldoyle where we see 85 'Merlin' passing as it continues on wards to Connolly. • 10:10 - 11:40, Monday the 28th October 2019, To start the day off we head to Dublin Connolly where we see 071 class loco number 078 arriving with the empty Craven stock from Inchicore. • 11:40 - 12:59, Next we head to Ashtown where we see 85 'Merlin' passing with the Dublin Connolly - Maynooth leg of the second Halloween Specials. • 12:59 - 13:34, Next we head to Reily's Bridge where we see 85 'Merlin' passing with the Maynooth - Dublin Connolly leg. • 13:34 - 14:18 Next we head to Castleknock where we see 85 'Merlin' passing with the second Dublin Connolly - Maynooth leg. • 14:18 - 15:12, Next we head to Consilla where we see 85 'Merlin' passing with the final run back to Connolly and concluding the 2019 Halloween Specials. • 15:12 - 17:31, And finally we head back to Connolly where we see 078 taking the empty Craven set back to Inchicore and 85 'Merlin' returning back to Connolly sheds. • Please feel free to comment, like and subscribe.
