Flash flooding in Mauritius as cyclone Belal continuing to impact Port Louis in Mauritius. • On Monday, January 15th, 2024, Cyclone Belal unleashed chaos and widespread damage in Mauritius and Reunion Island. The cyclone resulted in severe flash flooding in Port Louis, Mauritius, where dozens of cars were carried away by the floodwaters, colliding with each other. Roads transformed into rivers, some of which suffered damage.
