In this English grammar, you will learn about the form video of the present perfect tense. • I look at the affirmative form (positive), negative form and question form of the present perfect tense. I also explain the contracted forms for the affirmative and negative. • The present perfect is formed by a combination of the auxiliary verb have in the present followed by the past participle of the main verb. Example: I have worked. • The past participle of regular verbs is formed by adding ed to the base form. I also give you the spelling rules for forming the past participle of other regular verbs. • The past participle of irregular verbs have no rules at all and you must simply learn them by heart when you learn a new verb.
