Grafting a 4Pear Tree

I have decided to convert my callery pears into fruiting pears. The smaller of the two I did is a test and did it all at once. I took a big chance with that one based on YouTube research. The bigger of the two, I just did a few lower, smaller branches in case they failed. At least that way, the bigger tree would still look the same. Callery pears are known to start breaking branches with age and mine are 11 years old. They are also considered invasive by many states. I like pears so I'm going for it. I've tried growing Bartlett pears. They succumb to fire blight here and never produced so I yanked them and planted 4 types that do well here are are known to produce flavorful pears. These 4 are planted out back. In this video, I took scion wood off them and grafted them onto the callery. So far, it seems to be doing well. We will see! • MY STORE ON AMAZON.
