Continuing our Command Conquer Red Alert 3 Beginner's Guide series, we are taking a look at the Allied MBT-X8 Guardian Tank: Guardians are the least used MBT (Main Battle Tank) in RA3, despite being a very solid unit. They have medium armor, low damage output, and high speed, plus being cheaper than their counterparts. Their special ability is to toggle to Laser Painter, a long-range gadget that causes a single enemy target to receive 150% damage from all sources. You can upgrade Guardian lasers with High Technology upgrade, which increases the damage bonus to 200%, effectively doubling your army's fire power! • For strategy, Guardian Tanks can combo with Vindicator by lasering targets, allowing a single bombing run to kill off any Tier 2 vehicle or land artillery!
