Mofongo, arroz con gandules, rellenos de papas but I think the #1 thing I am always asked to make is Authentic Puerto Rican Pasteles. So boom here it is =) • Total Time: 4.5 - 5 Hours • Makes: 18 - 20 Pasteles • Filling: • 1-1/2 lbs. Pork Shoulder, Cut in about 1/2 inch cubes • 8 Garlic Cloves • 1 Tbsp. Orengano • Salt • Pepper • 1/4 Cup Lime Juice • 1/4 Cup Orange Juice • 1 Cup Pimento Stuffed Olives, Sliced • 2 Cups Sofrito - if you need a recipe - • Authentic Puerto Rican Sofrito Recipe... • (optional) 1/2 Cup Raisins (I don't use them since my dad doesn't like Raisins) • 2 Tbsp. Achiote Oil • Masa: • 2 lbs. Yautia, Peeled and Cubed • 2 lbs. Green Bananas, Unripe, Peeled and Chunked • 1 Large Plantain, Peeled and Chunked • 6 Tbsp.
